Sexy Demons. Oh, My.

I haven’t blogged in a few days because I’ve been a ‘lil busy. Busier than usual. Yeah, I still have legal work to do, family time to share, dinners to cook, sequel chapters to write, social media circuits to work… Sometimes I even sleep. But none of those things are new. So what’s gotten me so tied up that my blog has been neglected?

The Demonica series by Larissa Ione.

Oh, yeah, baby. I am LOVING it. So in addition to everything on my plate, I’ve been reading about sexy demons. The kind that would make ultra-conservative folks squirm.

I’ve only read the first two (Pleasure Unboundand Desire Unchained), but believe me when I tell you–I was jonesing for the third as soon as I read the last word in the second book. Good thing I bought all of her books at the same time. They’re just sitting on my desk…waiting to feed my paranormal literary addiction.

Like my paranormal novel Sleepy Willow’s Bonded Soul: The Narcoleptic Vampire Series, these Demonica books are NOT for everyone. But if you’re in the mood for something dark, sexy, fast-paced, and veering outside the box (which I always am), AND you’re not offended by graphic sex scenes and profanity, you should give these a try.

Now, I gotta go. Gotta get back to Passion Unleashed. I’m at the part where sexy-ass Wraith is about to–

What Do I Read?

This list will give you an idea of where I got inspiration for some of the craziness I wrote in SLEEPY WILLOW’S BONDED SOUL.

J.R. Ward Black Dagger Brotherhood Series
–I love the fast-pace writing style, Alpha males, explicit language and sex scenes.

Charlaine Harris Sookie Stackhouse Novels
–I love the cornucopia of supernatural beings and the mystery element.

Laurell K. Hamilton Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Series
–I love the kick-ass nature of the female lead, her harem, and that the series has sustained through 20 novels.

Anne Rice The Vampire Chronicles
–I love the action with unapologetic violence and blood shed.

Sherrilyn Kenyon Dark Hunter Series
–I love the historical tie-ins and the sweet romance.

Stephenie Meyer Twilight Series
–I love the suspense, the tension, and that these books are thick (ranging from 500-800+ pgs).

While these books are not perfect–what is?–they have been entertaining reads that I would recommend to anyone who wants to escape into the paranormal for a while. This is not the complete list of vampire novels I’ve read, but these have made the most impact on me.
